Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy
To ensure I can fully dedicate my time and creative energy to your story, the following payment and scheduling policies apply to all bookings.
1. Weddings & Elopements
Because weddings require blocking out a prime date months in advance, I can take only a limited number of commissions per year.
Payment Schedule: A 30% non-refundable retainer (acompte) is required to secure your date. The remaining 70% balance is due 14 days prior to your wedding day.
Cancellations: If you cancel your wedding, the 30% retainer serves as a cancellation fee for the blocked date. Cancellations made within 30 days of the wedding will require full payment of the balance.
Rescheduling: If you need to postpone, I will gladly transfer your retainer to a new date within 12 months, subject to my availability.
2. Life & Love (Families, Couples, Pets)
Life happens, kids get sick, and Belgian weather is unpredictable! I aim to be as flexible as possible while also protecting my calendar.
Payment Schedule: A 50% non-refundable retainer (acompte) is required to lock in your session date and time. The remaining 50% balance is due on the day of our shoot.
Rescheduling (Weather & Illness): If the weather is truly unworkable or someone is unwell, we will reschedule your session to a new date at no extra cost. Your retainer will seamlessly transfer.
Cancellations: If you choose to completely cancel the session without rescheduling, the 50% retainer is retained to cover the lost calendar slot.
3. Corporate & Events
Payment Schedule: For standard event coverage, invoices are sent the day after the event and are subject to Net 30 terms (payment due within 30 days of the invoice date). Note: For large, multi-day activations exceeding €2,000, a 30% upfront retainer is required.
Cancellations: Corporate events canceled within 7 days of the scheduled date will be billed for 50% of the quoted total. Events canceled within 48 hours will be billed in full.
Delivery: Final high-resolution image galleries will remain watermarked or restricted from download until the final invoice is settled in full.
4. The "Acompte" Clause (Belgian Standard) All upfront retainers are legally considered an acompte, signifying a firm and definitive commitment from both parties to fulfill this agreement.
